The Outputs



To keep the scorecard focused on prospects for future innovation in biotechnology, it avoids hard measures—but they, too, tell a story. For example, measurements of the efficiencies of public biotechnology companies (below) show that the U.S. is far ahead in the market capitalization per company, but Hong Kong and Ireland lead in the revenue generated per company.
